   Our skin is the largest organ of the body. It covers 1-2 sq. mt. of area, and is responsible for 12-15% of the human body’s weight. Our skin, apart from being responsible for our physical appearance and beauty, is also responsible for several other functions. It maintains the body temperature with its sweat glands, it protects the body from invasion by harmful bacteria and viruses, and it also protects from burns occurring from UV radiation in the sunlight. Our skin is affected by several internal factors, such as hormones, diet, stress, sleep, age, heredity and gender, apart from external factors like temperature, pollution, humidity and sun-exposure.
   
   
2. How can treatments at SkinWorld help me more than home-remedies or beauty parlours?
   At SkinWorld, our doctors take a detailed history about your diet, lifestyle, past illnesses, family history, occupation, etc. Secondly, all our treatments are suggested by our doctors. No two people have the same type of skin, and hence pre-set ‘packages’ prescribed by most skin clinics, beauty clinics and beauty salons/parlours may not make sense. 4. I have very sensitive skin. What if I get a reaction with SkinWorld services?
   All our services are carried out with international standard equipment and US FDA approved products. Even then, in order to make absolutely sure that your skin is not over sensitive to any of the ingredients which are to be used at the time of the services prescribed by our doctors, we conduct a patch test (sensitivity test) on your forearm/neck. This is done immediately after your skin analysis, with the same products that the doctor has advised for use during the services prescribed for you. The sensitivity test is done ABSOLUTELY FREE of cost at the time of doctor consultation, irrespective of whether you decide to go for the treatment or not. Moreover, all our treatments are done either by the doctor, or under the doctor’s supervision,to ensure your skin’s safety.
   
   
5. Will I get 100% guarantee of result?

At the same time, we also give you very realistic expectations regarding what we can achieve for your skin. We provide skin treatments, not magic. Our skin treatments are based on years of experience and research. Our services are carried out with international standard equipment and US FDA approved products. But as we mentioned earlier, each person’s skin is unique, and in spite of treatments prescribed after detailed skin analysis, the skin sometimes does not respond as per expectations. In such cases, we might have to switch to alternative treatments.
   
   
6. What if I don’t see an improvement in my skin after the treatment?

7. Are the treatments Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, or Allopathic?
   The products used during our services are a combination of natural plant extracts and modern allopathic compounds. However, the medications prescribed by our doctors are usually only allopathic.
   
   
8. Will the treatments make me ‘fair’?
   Our skin colour is determined by the amount of ‘melanin’ in our skin. The amount of melanin depends on various factors like our race, heredity and sun-exposure. Melanin imparts the brown colour to our skin. Thus, more melanin means darker skin. However, melanin also protects our skin from dreadful diseases like skin cancer. If you are born with dark skin, we cannot change the skin colour of your entire body. But we can definitely help you with reducing the tanning caused due to sun-exposure, and getting a healthy, glowing skin. We also help you understand your skin better, and provide you with diet advice that will help you achieve a fairer skin over a period of time. Some skin clinics will give promises of ‘a fairer skin in 30 days’. Before going in for any such treatments, we would advise you to look into the long term side effects of these treatments.
   
   
9. What modes of payment do you accept? Will I get an invoice?
   We accept cash, credit/debit cards, cheques as well as online fund transfer to our SBI bank account. However, if you choose cheque/online fund transfer as your preferred mode of payment, you will need to pay in advance, as the services can be provided only after realization of payment. We provide you with a valid invoice for all payments made by you.
   
   
10. I do not want to go for expensive treatments. Is SkinWorld affordable?
    We pride ourselves in providing quality services at prices which are more than 40% lower than similar skin care clinics. However, if you still find our services expensive, we offer you the flexibility to make your payments in instalments of 30%, 40% and 30% of the total amount. Also, we consider skin an important asset of your body. Healthy skin will help you not only in the present, but also help you reap benefits all through your life.
